The service
usum is a browser extension and accompanying API that generates AI summaries of publicly available YouTube videos. We provide the service on an "as is" basis and may change or discontinue features over time.
Acceptable use
- Use usum only for lawful purposes and in line with YouTube's terms.
- Do not abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent the free-tier limits of the service.
AI-generated content
Summaries are produced by a Large Language Model and may contain errors or omissions. They are provided for convenience and are not a substitute for watching the source video. You are responsible for how you use them.
Subscriptions and refunds
Pro payments are handled by Dodo Payments. Please review the plan, price, trial end date and renewal terms before completing checkout. If you do not want the subscription to renew, cancel before the next billing date.
For new subscriptions from 23 September 2026 (UTC), completed payments are non-refundable. You may cancel future renewals at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation does not refund an earlier payment.
This policy does not override applicable legal rights, payment-provider terms, or terms and commitments that applied to an earlier purchase. If you believe a charge was incorrect, contact support@usum.io for review. Any discretionary exception requires individual approval; contacting support does not mean a refund has been approved.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, usum is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
